Eight tracks deep and uncompromising from start to finish, this mixtape extends the PUNK PANTHER world KOJ has been building: a space where grime, rap and punk collide with hard questions about justice, freedom, leadership and what it means to move with purpose right now.
On the PUNK PANTHER: FOR THE PEOPLE DEM MiXTAPE, KOJ takes a number of intergenerational cult classics – Ghost Town by The Specials, Paper Planes by M.I.A., Blackberry Marmalade by Vince Staples and Helicopter by ASAP Rocky – and routes them firmly through the PUNK PANTHER lens: urgent, politically sharp, and rooted in a North UK experience. Alongside the reworks sits Blue Note iV, the latest entry in his ongoing Blue Note Series, in which KOJ reflects on the state of the world, our collective responsibility to change it, and why the moment to act is not coming – it is already here. Every track on this project carries weight.

The mixtape arrives on the back of a PUNK PANTHER single campaign that drew support from 6 Music, BBC Radio 1Xtra, Amazon Music, Selector Radio, Fault Magazine, Iggy Magazine and House of Solo, among others. KOJ’s debut EP Villain With A Conscience previously earned him coverage in Clash, Wonderland and The Face, and placed him on stages at Boomtown, Latitude, Radio 1 Big Weekend, Reeperbahn and SXSW.
